About my bows

All of my bows are handmade one at a time in the age old manner.

About the bow woods

Ash

A hard whitewood that makes a good quality, sturdy (almost unbreakable) bow. All bows made of this wood are one piece (self) bows. Because of it's sturdiness, it makes an excellent beginners longbow or flatbow. Draw weights up to 65 lbs.

Lemonwood / Degame (Calycophyllum candidissum)

A South American boxwood, light yellow color. Lemonwood bows are always backed with hickory or ash. This makes a high quality bow and it is the most typical wood used for English longbows. Draw weights up to 75 lbs.

Price € or $ 300.00 - 325.00

Ipe (Tabebuia spp.)

A South American hardwood, dark brown color. Ipe bows are always backed with ash. This wood makes a very durable and fast shooting bow. Draw weights are almost unlimited from 25 up to 150+ lbs.

Prices start at € or $ 325.00

American (Oregon) Yew (Taxus Brevifolia)

This is the best wood for English longbows. I import the best yew obtainable from where it grows in the mountains of Oregon. The best pieces with prefect sapwood are made into deluxe one piece (self) bows, wich are the ultimate wooden bows you can own. Only the very best yew is used for these bows. Draw weights up to 100 lbs.
